Trauma disrupts this system. Memories become fragmented, stripped of time and place. CPT addresses this by teaching the brain to reprocess traumatic memories. It helps the mind categorize the event as something that happened—not something that is happening.
PTSD is not limited to combat veterans—it can touch anyone who has endured overwhelming suffering. Often, Christians are expected to smile and nod, but when our beliefs do not match up with our realities, it is difficult. You are not immoral because you hurt... you are human.
Trauma can trap the mind in destructive loops, but God’s desire is freedom. CPT provides structured psychological tools to challenge lies and reframe beliefs, while Scripture provides the foundation of ultimate truth. Together, they equip us to resist Satan’s traps and walk in renewed life.
God has spoken a great truth. He has declared us precious in His sight. He proved our worth when He gave His Son to redeem us. Our value is not determined by what people think, or even by what we think—it is determined by the cross.
Satan loves to distort God-given traits into shameful labels. But God placed treasures in you—efficiency, confidence, motivation, compassion—and called them good. To reclaim them is not self-celebration; it’s worship of the One who designed you.
