Lake Family Counseling understands that life happens. If something comes up and you are unable to make your appointment, please try to contact us by phone or email as soon as you can. We will try to be as understanding as we can, and reschedule your session. Repeated cancelations can result in discontinued service and charges for unattended sessions. We value your time, please value ours.

This is probably our number one question. 

Insurance often prevents you from getting the full experience you ned in order to find lasting benefits. Also, your insurance may not protect your information in the same way self-pay does. For this reason, and others, we try our best to provide the lowest pricing possible and offer many options. We provide individual sessions as well as packages to meet your needs. Additionally, we are always willing to help out as much as we can if you truly cannot afford our services. Talk with us.

Sessions are scheduled in one hour increments. However, the typical session should last around 50 minutes. We try to respect your time as well as other clients, for that reason, we try to stick to an hour maximum unless previously discussed. With that being said, we also understand that there are times when longer sessions are necessary. We try our best to not be rigid of the time if progress is being made, so there are times we allow our sessions to extend longer.

However, some sessions are scheduled back to back and do not afford us the ability to do this often, so we do ask you to be aware of this. If we use a timer, it is not meant to cut you off, but to respect our other clients and schedules. Do not forget there is preparation involved in these sessions as well, so we need that time between sessions to record notes from your session and revisit notes before we meet our next client.
